Many artists who are now household names didn’t find recognition until much later in their careers. For example, it took years for some of today’s most celebrated sculptors to have their first large-scale solo exhibition. Yet, once they do, we often forget the struggles and challenges they faced along the way, as their eventual success can seem inevitable in hindsight.
